Junior Jetsetters Guide to Vancouver
Pedro Marcelino and Slawko Waschuk
Illustrated by: Tapan Gandhi and Ran Kim

Junior Jetsetters City Guides are geared toward curious, independent young kids travelling with their parents, and local kids in need of great tips to discover their city.

The Junior Jetsetters hosts-- Keira and Jordi--are joined by 6 local (animal) friends and take kids aged 8+ on adventures through the coolest cities on earth. These are complete books, focusing on history, cultural diversity, environment, educational activities and fun stuff. They combine photography, cityscape drawings by local artists, cartoon characters and practical information for kids and parents.

The Junior Jetsetters City Guides are a great gift for kids on the go.

If you plan on going to Vancouver with your children for the Olympics or after the Olympics this will be a great guide to enhance your experience.

Reviews:
Like the Junior Jetsetter volumes on Chicago, Amsterdam, and Paris, the information and visuals in this publication are:

  1. current, dynamic, colourful and engaging,
  2. the layout is crisp and easy to use when locating information,
  3. the pages contain ‘hip’ cartoons and information that would engage preteens,
  4. and the content is laced with often original and very interesting ideas (I didn’t know at one time Vancouver had more neon signs that Las Vegas – and Vancouver has been my home since 1971!). . .
Being a long-time resident of Vancouver, and having annually taken my own children to many of these listed attractions, I can vouch for the authenticity and credibility of this guide’s information. . . Although geared towards children, I truly believe that the fresh, crisp design of Junior Jetsetters Guide to Vancouver, and its intriguing and engaging content, will appeal to a wide range of travelers wishing to explore Vancouver’s main family-oriented attractions. Furthermore, I believe many families with children who are moving to Vancouver (or who are already living in Vancouver) may find that this guide could bring Vancouver to life in ways never before explored or imagined. Finally, I highly recommend regularly checking the Junior Jetsetters website for publications on other cities that you may be traveling to in the near future.
Highly Recommended."

Reviews (The Junior Jetsetters Series):
"These books certainly live up to expectations about giving children interesting and up-to-date information about popular urban destinations, but these small volumes would whet the appetite of any traveller, young or old! . . There is everything to like about this series of travel books. Small and compact, they will fit easily into luggage, backpack or purse and are sturdy enough to make the journey with their owners! They are designed for children and are terrific for that young audience, but they are also a wealth of facts and suggestions that will appeal to anyone who wishes to travel. Tourists of all ages will benefit from taking a look at these guides and can only hope that Junior Jetsetters has plans to add many more destinations to their global 'itinerary.'
Highly Recommended."
